Help Families Facing PNH & Aplastic Anemia

Your generosity provides hope when families need it most.

When someone is diagnosed with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) or aplastic anemia, life changes overnight. Hospital stays, emergency admissions, travel to specialty treatment centers, lodging, meals, parking, and time away from work can create an overwhelming financial burden on families who are already facing one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Your donation helps ensure that families don’t have to face that journey alone.

Why Your Support Matters

PNH & Aplastic Anemia Family Alliance (PNHAA) was founded by parents whose son was diagnosed with both PNH and aplastic anemia. We understand firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial challenges families experience because we’ve lived them ourselves.

Every contribution helps us provide trusted education, compassionate support, patient navigation, financial assistance, and resources that make a meaningful difference for families across the United States.

How Your Donation Helps

Your generosity supports programs that directly benefit patients and caregivers, including:

  • Emergency financial assistance grants for qualifying medical emergencies, as funding allows.
  • Patient and caregiver navigation.
  • Educational resources and guides.
  • Treatment center directories.
  • Research awareness and educational initiatives.
  • Rare disease advocacy and community outreach.
  • Website resources available free to every family.
  • The ongoing operation and growth of PNHAA.

Emergency Assistance Fund

One of our highest priorities is building the PNHAA Family Emergency Assistance Fund.

Our goal is to provide emergency assistance grants of up to $250, as funding allows, to help families experiencing unexpected expenses related to hospitalization or treatment.

Examples of qualifying expenses may include:

  • Hospital parking
  • Fuel and transportation
  • Hotel accommodations
  • Meals during hospitalization
  • Emergency travel expenses
  • Other medically related financial hardships

Sometimes a relatively small amount of assistance can relieve a tremendous burden during an already stressful time.

Supporting Research Awareness

Advances in research continue to improve the outlook for individuals living with PNH and aplastic anemia.

PNHAA is committed to increasing awareness of ongoing research, educating families about scientific developments, and supporting initiatives that advance understanding of these rare blood disorders.

As our organization grows, we also hope to support research-focused initiatives and collaborative efforts that improve outcomes for patients and families.

Building a Stronger Community

Your support also helps us continue building a trusted national resource where families can find accurate information, practical guidance, educational materials, and compassionate support throughout every stage of their journey.

Every article we publish, every resource we create, every family we assist, and every conversation we have is made possible because of generous supporters like you.
