The PNH & Aplastic Anemia Family Alliance (“PNHAA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) welcomes sponsorships and strategic partnerships that help advance our mission of supporting individuals and families affected by Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) and aplastic anemia.
This Sponsorship Policy establishes the principles that guide the acceptance, recognition, and management of sponsorships while preserving the integrity, independence, and public trust of PNHAA.
Purpose
Sponsorships provide valuable financial and in-kind support that enables PNHAA to expand educational resources, patient navigation services, financial assistance programs, advocacy initiatives, community outreach, and other charitable activities.
PNHAA is committed to ensuring that sponsorships support—but never influence—our mission, governance, educational content, or charitable programs.

Every sponsorship accepted by PNHAA shall be guided by the following principles:

Editorial Independence
PNHAA maintains complete editorial independence.
Sponsors shall have no authority to:
- Approve or edit educational content.
- Select topics for publication.
- Influence medical information.
- Approve patient resources.
- Determine website content.
- Control newsletters or publications.
- Influence social media content.
All educational content is developed solely in the best interests of patients and families.
Patient Navigation Independence
Sponsorships shall not influence patient navigation services.
PNHAA will never direct individuals toward a specific physician, hospital, treatment center, pharmaceutical product, clinical trial, or healthcare provider because of sponsorship.
Patient navigation is intended solely to provide educational information and resource guidance.
Financial Assistance Independence
Sponsors shall have no involvement in:
- Eligibility requirements.
- Application reviews.
- Grant approvals.
- Grant denials.
- Distribution of financial assistance.
Financial assistance decisions are made independently by PNHAA in accordance with organizational policies and available funding.
Acceptable Sponsors
PNHAA may accept sponsorships from organizations whose values and activities are consistent with our mission.

- Foundations
- Healthcare organizations
- Hospitals
- Universities
- Professional associations
- Community organizations
- Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
- Medical device manufacturers
Acceptance of sponsorship does not constitute endorsement by PNHAA.
Sponsors We May Decline
PNHAA reserves the right to decline sponsorships that may:
- Conflict with our mission.
- Create actual or perceived conflicts of interest.
- Compromise organizational independence.
- Damage public trust.
- Create legal or ethical concerns.
- Require endorsement of products or services.
- Impose inappropriate restrictions on PNHAA.
No Endorsements
Acceptance of financial support does not imply endorsement, recommendation, certification, approval, or preference for any:
- Medication
- Medical device
- Treatment
- Healthcare provider
- Hospital
- Clinic
- Clinical trial
- Company
- Service
- Product
PNHAA remains independent in all educational and charitable activities.
Sponsor Recognition
PNHAA may recognize sponsors through:
- Website acknowledgments.
- Annual reports.
- Event materials.
- Newsletters.
- Social media acknowledgments.
- Printed publications.
- Fundraising campaigns.
Recognition is intended solely to acknowledge support and does not constitute endorsement.
Use of Logos
PNHAA may display a sponsor’s name or logo with permission.
Sponsors may not use PNHAA’s name, logo, or trademarks without prior written authorization.
Any approved use of PNHAA branding must accurately represent the relationship and may not imply endorsement.
Sponsored Content
If PNHAA publishes sponsored educational content, the sponsorship will be clearly disclosed.
Sponsored content will:
- Be clearly identified.
- Remain factually accurate.
- Be reviewed for consistency with PNHAA’s mission.
- Maintain editorial independence.
Advertising
PNHAA may display advertising or sponsor acknowledgments that support our mission.
Advertising shall be clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
Advertisements do not constitute endorsement by PNHAA.
Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Companies
PNHAA recognizes that pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organizations play an important role in advancing treatments and supporting patient communities.
When accepting sponsorship from these organizations, PNHAA will maintain complete independence regarding:
- Educational materials.
- Patient navigation.
- Clinical trial information.
- Financial assistance decisions.
- Public communications.
Healthcare and pharmaceutical sponsors shall not influence the content or recommendations published by PNHAA.
Transparency
PNHAA believes transparency strengthens public trust.
When appropriate, sponsorship relationships may be publicly disclosed through our website, annual reports, financial disclosures, or other organizational publications.
Conflict of Interest
All sponsorship relationships are subject to PNHAA’s Conflict of Interest Policy.
Individuals involved in negotiating or approving sponsorships must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest.
Acceptance of Sponsorships
PNHAA reserves the right to accept or decline any sponsorship at its sole discretion.
Acceptance decisions will consider:
